According to the "People's Republic of China Prohibited Entry and Exit Items List", "People's Republic of China Restricted Entry and Exit Items List" (Order No. 43 of the General Administration of Customs), List of Articles Restricted from Entry and Exit of the People's Republic of China > Announcement on Interpretation of Relevant Issues (Announcement [2013] No. 46):

(1) Prohibited items:

①Various weapons, simulated weapons, ammunition and explosives;

② counterfeit currency and counterfeit securities;

③ Printed matters, films, photographs, records, films, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media and other items that are harmful to national politics, economy, culture and morality;

④ All kinds of potent poisons;

⑤ Opium, morphine, heroin, marijuana and other addictive narcotics and psychotropic drugs;

⑥ Animals, plants and their products with dangerous germs, pests and other harmful organisms;

⑦ Foods, medicines or other items that are harmful to the health of humans and animals, come from epidemic areas, and can transmit diseases.

(2) Items prohibited from leaving the country:

① All items included in the prohibited entry range;

②Manuscripts, prints, films, photographs, records, films, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media and other items whose contents involve state secrets;

③ Precious cultural relics and other cultural styles that are prohibited from leaving the country;

④ Endangered and precious animals, plants (including specimens) and their seeds and propagation materials.

(3) Restricted import items:

① radio transceiver, communication security machine;

②Tobacco and alcohol;

③ Endangered and precious animals, plants (including specimens) and their seeds and propagation materials;

④ national currency;

⑤ Other items restricted by the customs from entering the country.

(4) Items restricted from leaving the country:

①Precious metals such as gold and silver and their products;

② national currency;

③Foreign currency and its marketable securities;

④ Radio transceivers, communication security machines;

⑤ Valuable Chinese herbal medicines;

⑥ general cultural relics;

⑦ Other items restricted by customs from leaving the country.
